Alyna ran for ASB secretary. She didn't win, but other doors opened for her. She was asked to be the ASB PBIS (Positive Behavior Coordinator). I am not exactly sure what her responsibilities will be but she is thrilled to be able to work with the leadership of SHHS. She amazes me! She is brave and confident and composed! It is wonderful to watch her take on these challenges, move on when it doesn't work our her way and look for the new opportunity in a what might have been considered a loss!

SHHS ASB Elections

Calvin and the kitties
A lot has changed in the few short months since this photo was taken. Lucy gave birth to 5 little kittens. One died the first day, but the 4 remaining were doing well. Lucy was hit by a car and killed when the kittens were 10 days old. We bottle fed the little ones over the weekend and then took them to the humane society. A few weeks later Lola had her kittens, but we couldn't find them. She hid them well in the forest. A few weeks later our neighbor brought a little white kitten with gray spots to us, saying that Lola had brought it to his doorstep. So now Spots and Lola hang out in a big box in the garage. All of the kids love Lola and Spots, but Calvin really loves them. These cats have been good for our family. Belle has gotten over her fear of them and it gives the kids something to look after. And we have no problem with mice!
Ken & Irene Waite's 50th Anniversary
A few months ago Ken and Irene Waite, dear friends from our ward, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. It was my pleasure to be able to take a few pictures of them and their family.
We love Ken and Irene, they fill like family to us. As I watched them and their family I looked forward to our future...when Mark and I celebrate 50 years together. I look forward to a life full of love and memories, of trial and triumphs, of friendships made along the way and mostly to our family growing. Ken and Irene have a beautiful family. They are beautiful, kind, generous people, they radiate the light of Christ. I am so grateful for their influence in our life.
